EricCoordinator Testimonials, Rosary Congress

We were truly blessed to be a part of the 2019 Rosary Congress! A local parishioner told us (the Office for Evangelization in the Archdiocese of Newark) about this endeavor and asked that we partner with her to bring this to the parishes in the Archdiocese. We invited a number of parishes to join and were very pleased that 15 parishes and 2 universities agreed to host.

We were able to have a Diocesan Paper article about the Congress and advertised via our Archdiocesan Website.  There will be a follow up article in the Diocesan magazine.

Already we have two parishes signed up for the 2020 Rosary Congress which we will run from October 4 – 11, 2020.

Here’s a few quotes about the Congress:

“There is no Christian without devotion to the Virgin Mary.  Our faith comes from the Fiat and like Mary we are also called to say yes to the Lord so that he can accomplish what he has in store for us.” Fr. Mauro Primavera, Holy Family Parish, Nutley, NJ

“The Rosary Congress at St. Aloysius attracted adorers of the Blessed Sacrament all day on the Feast of our Lady of the Rosary. From early and noontime Massgoers to adorers who stayed in the church to pray all day; from Trinity Academy students presenting roses to Mary while praying a Children’s Rosary to CCD teens thrilled to receive their new Rosaries; to friends from neighboring parishes and families who joined the Miraculous Medal Novena, Family Rosary for Life & Peace and bilingual procession, the Congress struck a chord with many and was a clear expression of the faithful’s steadfast love of Our Blessed Mother and desire to pray intensely at this time.” Marie Liddy, Initiator of the Rosary Congress & St. Aloysius Coordinator

Fr. John Gordon, Acting Vicar for Pastoral Life and Coordinator of the Office for Evangelization, thanked all: “The opportunity to gather so many of the faithful during this month of the Rosary was a grace that continues to reverberate throughout the hearts of those who participated.  Who knows, perhaps even more in the lives of all the people in the Archdiocese. I believe that this spiritual gift to Our Lord and our Lady was more their gift to us. ‘Lord, thank You for blessing us in these days of vigil and prayer. Dear Mother Mary – intercede for us now and at the hour of our death.’

May the Lord’s blessing draw us more closely to Him and may our Lady’s intercession help us proclaim the Lord always and everywhere.”
