The Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary

The Annunciation

For those discerning God’s Will
Immaculate Heart of Mary, you earnestly sought God’s will for your life and generously embraced it when it was made clear. With this decade of the Rosary, we pray for all those who are discerning God’s will for their lives. May they sincerely seek what would be most pleasing to Your Son Jesus, and humbly and courageously allow His will to be done.

The Visitation

For pregnant mothers
Immaculate Heart of Mary, as soon as you conceived Jesus in your womb, you went to serve your cousin Elizabeth who was also pregnant. With this decade of the Rosary, we pray for all pregnant mothers throughout the Diocese and especially those who are considering abortion. May they be granted the grace to cherish the gift of life within their wombs, and trust that the Lord will provide for all their needs.

The Nativity

For the homeless and those in desperate poverty
Immaculate Heart of Mary, when you went to Bethlehem, there was no room at the inn; you were homeless. With this decade of the Rosary, we pray for all those who are homeless and in desperate poverty. Please inspire us with practical ways that we can generously share our Heavenly Father’s love with them, and grant them the grace to open their hearts as a home for your Son.

The Presentation of Our Lord

For the safety and protection of children
Immaculate Heart of Mary, you presented your Son Jesus in the Temple when He was a very small child. With this decade of the Rosary, we pray for all children throughout the Diocese of Steubenville. May they be protected from all harm and evil, and come to understand how cherished they are to God our Father. May those children who have been abused in any way, find the healing the Lord offers to them.

The Finding of Our Lord in the Temple

For those who don’t believe in God
Immaculate Heart of Mary, when Jesus was absent from you, you searched diligently for Him for three long days. Many people in this Diocese do not believe in God; they are searching for something, but they don’t know what. With this decade of the Rosary, we pray for all those who do not believe in God, that they may realize that it is He whom their hearts are longing for. May they allow themselves to be found by Him.
