Jubilee33 and PAC27

Jubilee33 describes itself as a global Catholic movement preparing the Church for the 2,000th anniversary of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ in 2033, rooted in fidelity to the Magisterium, animated by missionary discipleship, and seeking to renew hearts, strengthen parishes, and unite the faithful in a decade-long journey of grace.

Its stated mission is: Bringing the world to Jesus through Mary by fostering collaboration among bishops, confraternities, shrines, movements, and apostolates as a means of evangelization in the world.

Its vision is drawn from Our Lord's prayer at the Last Supper: “That they may all be one … that the world may believe” (John 17).

Jubilee33 accompanies dioceses, parishes, apostolates, and families through three major stages:

• PAC27 — the Jubilee33 Journey launch and commissioning, in Ottawa, Canada, September 2027.
• USA2030 — a phase of renewal and missionary mobilization in the United States.
• Rome2033 — the culmination at the Vatican for the Jubilee itself.

The St. Louis Collaborator Summit, 2026

Between those milestones sit the working gatherings where the practical shape of the journey is discerned. The first is the St. Louis Collaborator Summit, September 3–6, 2026, at the Augustine Institute in Florissant, Missouri.

There, collaborators will discern how the Holy Spirit is inspiring this movement and how it can be implemented for the good of the Church, continuing work on the Instrumentum Laboris — the working document, also called The St. Louis Document — which addresses the Marian dimension of evangelization, the interconnected roles of the collaborators, and how all may help animate the mission to evangelize the world.

The Eucharistic Rosary Congresses will accompany every session of that Summit in prayer.

What distinguishes Jubilee33 from a single event or a single apostolate's initiative is its structure. Rather than building one program and inviting others to join it, Jubilee33 works to connect groups that ordinarily operate in parallel including bishops and dioceses, confraternities, national shrines, ecclesial movements, and lay apostolates, so that their existing charisms reinforce one another over the years leading to 2033.

Its core team and advisory board include bishops from Canada, leadership from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis, the National Association of Shrines and Pilgrimages, the Augustine Institute, the Pontifical Mission Societies USA, the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, and the Dominican Order's Promoter General of the Holy Rosary. The collaborating apostolates range from media and film to relics, the Shroud of Turin, family consecration, men's formation, campus outreach, and the Rosary.

Ecclesial support

Three distinct acts of support are worth naming precisely, because they are not equivalent:

• The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, at its September 2024 Plenary Assembly, voted unanimously to support the Jubilee33 initiative.
• The USCCB Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis, through its Chair, Archbishop Charles C. Thompson, joined the collaboration and appointed Marilyn Santos to serve on the Core Team.
• The Dicastery for Evangelization, in a letter from Archbishop Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect, authorized the use of the Dicastery's logo for PAC27.
