At this year’s Solemnity of the Assumption, Pope Leo XIV invited the faithful to echo Mary’s “yes” to God, drawing our attention to her great song of praise, the Magnificat. Spoken in response to God’s plan and Elizabeth’s blessing, these words are not only an outpouring of gratitude—they are a proclamation of trust, humility, and unwavering faith.

In the Magnificat, Mary magnifies the Lord not just with her lips, but with her life. Her song celebrates God’s mercy, uplifts the lowly, and points all glory back to Him. This is precisely the spirit that animates the mission of the Eucharistic Rosary Congress: to magnify the Lord in our time through continuous prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, and the faithful recitation of the Rosary.

Mary as the First Eucharistic Adorer

When we gather before the Blessed Sacrament and pray the Rosary together, we join our voices to Mary’s own hymn of praise. Each Hail Mary echoes her faith-filled “yes.” Each hour of Adoration reflects her steadfast presence before her Son. The Magnificat reminds us that authentic devotion always leads to mission—bringing Christ into our families, parishes, and communities.

As the Holy Father reminded us, Mary’s “yes” was not a one-time response, but a lifetime commitment. So too is ours. Through Eucharistic Adoration and the Rosary, we continually reaffirm our own “yes” to God, allowing Him to work through us for the salvation of the world.

Let us take the Pope’s words to heart and make Mary’s Magnificat our own—magnifying the Lord in every thought, word, and deed.
