ericbNewsletter, Rosary Congress

On November 5, 2023, the Feast Day of St. Elizabeth and St. Zachary, parents of St. John the Baptist

Dear members and supporters of the Eucharistic Rosary Congresses,

Thank you to all of our members, supporters, coordinators, shift captains, participants, and all those who have helped us achieve a new milestone in our history.

This year, Eucharistic Rosary Congresses were held in 30 dioceses in 22 states – there were 152 parishes involved between the Dioceses of Venice, Lansing, Honolulu, and Newark alone.  The newest dioceses to join this work of Our Lady were San Angelo, Texas and Springfield-Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Some dioceses expanded beyond a traditional Eucharistic Rosary Congress.  For example, the Arlington Diocese hosted a full Eucharistic Rosary Congress in one parish with 10 other "satellite events" held throughout the diocese.  The Baltimore Archdiocese hosted a full Rosary Congress at one parish with guest speakers each night, with several satellite events throughout the archdiocese. Additionally, Mobile, Alabama (also new this year) will be holding its Eucharistic Rosary Congress at a later date, most likely Dec. 1 – 8, 2023 - bringing the total to 31 dioceses in 23 states.

We extend a special thanks to all of our coordinators throughout the country, who have a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, including the Coordinator of Lansing, Rose Sierawski, who will be 94 years old this month!

Our new Locations map tells a great story of our reach, even to Alaska and Hawaii (thank you!).

As great a story as this map may tell, you'll notice that the western part of the continental United States has much opportunity for growth  – if you have friends or relatives in the Western states, please help us promote the Eucharistic Rosary Congresses within those states.  Encourage them to contact us and we can assist them in reaching out to their priest and bishop. During this period of Eucharistic Revival in our country, many dioceses are looking for programs such as a ERC to help the faithful renew worship of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

We are also thrilled to announce the launch of our newly updated website. It’s better organized, more visually exciting, and contains many new resources for our coordinators and participants.

And, of course, we will be updating the website over the next few months to prepare for next year’s Eucharistic Rosary Congresses, which will be held October 5, 2024 through October 11, 2024. We will be adding new resources for 2024, including new templates and other useful items.

Finally, please remember to pray for the holy souls in Purgatory this month.
