The Eucharistic Rosary Congresses is guided by a devoted team of leaders who bring faith, wisdom, and dedication to our mission. Our Board of Directors works to ensure that Eucharistic adoration, the Holy Rosary, and reparation continue to spread across the nation, touching hearts and renewing parishes. Meet the individuals who help sustain and expand this powerful apostolate.

Kristin Bird
Kristin Bird is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She has previously been involved in the medical profession and in the education of her children. Currently, she spends time with family, praying the rosary, and sharing the beauty of Our Lady and the Love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament as the President of the Eucharistic Rosary Congresses. Kristin has been active with the Eucharistic Rosary Congresses since 2017, and has served as President since 2020.
Elizabeth Belk
Betty Belk has served on the board of numerous school and parish groups and diocesan committees in MD, CT, and VA. After working for the American Red Cross for two decades, she has focused her volunteer efforts on educational, pro-life, and vocations activities and ministries. A Marylander most of her life, Betty resides in Front Royal, VA near her children and grandchildren. She is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eucharistic Rosary Congresses
Fr. Chris Alar
Father Chris Alar, MIC, is the Provincial Superior of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy Province of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception in the United States and Argentina. He wrote and produced the popular "Divine Mercy 101" and "Explaining the Faith" YouTube series and is the author of the bestselling books After Suicide: There's Hope for Them and for You, as well as Understanding Divine Mercy. He is host of the EWTN show Living Divine Mercy, which airs on Thursdays, 10:00 p.m. EST. From 2014-2024, he served as "Fr. Joseph, MIC," the Director of the Association of Marian Helpers.
Sr. Deirde Byrne, POSC
Sister Deirdre Byrne (Sister DeDe) is an active missionary sister and superior of her community in Washington, DC. She is double board-certified in family medicine and general surgery. After many years of medical and military service in the Army in far-ranging areas, she was led to the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts community in 2000. Sister DeDe retired with the rank of Colonel from the United States Army in 2009, while still a religious sister, after 29 years of military service. Currently, she is the superior of D.C. Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts house near Catholic University, where the sisters run a pro-bono physical therapy clinic and diabetic eye clinic, a retirement home for her elderly sisters, and pro-life mission including the abortion pill reversal.
Sherry So
Sherry is the wife of an Air Force veteran and proud mom of four adult children. She is an active member of her parish and a teacher aide at a local parish school. After living in many states across the US, Sherry and her husband now reside in CO where they enjoy hiking and exploring the great outdoors. She has served on the Impact Grant committee for the Community Foundation and as a past Vice Regent in Catholic Daughters. Sherry serves as ERC Secretary, and is currently working on establishing ERC's in CO and other states.
James Coyle, PHD
Dr. Coyle is Professor Emeritus of Communications at Franciscan University of Steubenville. In addition to 33 years teaching full-time, he has produced and directed television and video productions for Franciscan University and associated apostolates, and served as media director for the University’s summer conferences for over 25 years. He and his wife live in Steubenville, and their four adult children and their families live on two continents. Dr. Coyle has been involved with Rosary Congresses since 2017 and is the Treasurer.
Carol Scherer
Carol Scherer and her husband have lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania all their lives. She worked for over twenty years in the health care insurance industry before becoming a stay-at-home-mom. Carol volunteered regularly in multiple capacities at her son’s private Catholic school, chairing one of the school’s largest fundraisers for more than a decade. She currently serves on the Board of her parish’s Respect Life Group and is the Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Eucharistic Rosary Congress since its inception in 2017.
Eric Belk
Eric has served on the Board of Directors of the Eucharistic Rosary Congresses since 2017. Recently retired, Eric spent a large part of his career serving as a director on various non-profit boards, and has been active in the pro-life movement for more than 20 years. Eric oversees the website, newsletter, and social media, managing content, graphics, and multimedia while ensuring the site remains secure and up to date to support the growth of the Eucharistic Rosary Congresses.
